End Of Evangelion Synopsis: The end of Evangelion movie is basically a revised version of episode 25 and 26 of the show. The movie starts with government agents breaking into the nerve headquarters in an attempt to eliminate nerve and all its members including the Eva pilots. Asuka, who has been battling her own problems, has finally snapped out of her depression and tries to defend her Eva from some mech/monsters the government has sent. It appears that Asuka has won her battle for survival until the mech's started to regenerate and make her pay. Elsewhere Misato is protecting Shinji in an attempt to get him safely to his Eva and prepare him for battle. As for Rei she is actually Lilith, which apparently is the key to the rebirth of the world or Armageddon. Shinji fathers just happen to be behind this key and the Lilith project. Elsewhere Misato takes a bullet for Shinji and confesses that she was in Love with him and passes away. Shinji takes off in his Eva unit and the movie from here on in gets very weird. The second half of the movie gets really bizarre and discusses what reality really is and what a dream is. Just think of this as psychology and philosophy episode of Eva, which really makes you, start to think. Many revelations are revealed in this film but I wont blow it for you. End of Evangelion is definitely a must see film that will live you in awe. Review: This movie has its flaws, but also one hell of a script. First off the plot is very well done and delivers an A class performance by the voice actors. The second half of the movie however will turn a lot of people off since its goes deeply into the discussion of life, and the purpose of existence. On top of that the film uses a lot of college level language and for the ending of the film many will have a different opinion on what the ending really meant and what the true message of the film was. In fact people still to this day argue over what the ending really meant but this topic has yet to be settled. Now for the soundtrack, it is great, a very classical score that compliments the film extremely well. Now End of Evangelion has not yet been released over here in America but is available over some fansub retailers. It is in fact schedule to be released to DVD and video in the U.S. on September 24th. Once again I highly recommend this film however it won't appeal to those who dislike psychology and philosophy.
