Zoids Chaotic Century Episode Sums Episode 9. The Valley of the Monster Van, Fiona, Irvine, Zeke, and Moonbay are chased by Imperial Molgas because they are passing through Republican territory. Van and Irvine turn to fight, but their shots keep missing. Van manages to knock one over with the Liger's leg and then all of the Molgas leave. Later, Van and the others talk about this. Van thinks they ran because they were scared, but Irvine doesn't seem to think so. He is worried about how their shots kept missing. They get in their Zoids and try to start them up, but they don't work and start acting crazy. Irvine orders everyone to put their pulse guards up because a rare hertz is affecting their Zoids. A rare hertz is a pulse that makes Zoids go insane, and no one knows when or where it will appear. Since they don't want to fight the Imperial army, they go ahead into the valley with the rare hertz. Zeke isn't doing to well and Van and Fiona are worried about him. After traveling for a while, Van and Fiona check on Zeke, who seems better when he gets up but then his eyes turn green. He starts attacking the Gustav and then fuses with the Liger, attacks Irvine, and then runs. Irvine explains that Zeke has been taken by the rare hertz. Van wants to get him back, but Irvine won't lend Van his Zoid, so he walks off to look for Zeke. Van looks for a long time and finds tracks from the Liger. He follows them until they disappear. He sees the Liger at the top of a ciff and climbs up most of it. The Liger leaves and Van falls down and is knocked out. When he wakes up, he finds that Fiona has bandaged his arm. They then both go look for Zeke, and find him taking a rest. Van tries to get through to Zeke, but Zeke fuses with the Liger, shoots at Van and misses, and makes to step on Van but stops and runs away. The Liger is stopped when Irvine shoots the side of a cliff to bury it under rocks, but Zeke ejects and runs. Van follows on a hover board Moonbay throws to him. Fiona and Moonbay follow Van on hover boards too and Irvine rides in his Comman Wolf. Van corners Zeke at the edge of a cliff. He tries to get through to the Organoid, but has no success and gets whacked by Zeke's tail a few times. Van won't give up though. Zeke backs up and slips off of the cliff, but Van catches his head and holds on. Irvine gets into a harness and Moonbay lowers him down towards Zeke and Van. Fiona yells for Van to hold on, but he slips off. Both Zeke and Van fall, and as they fall Van's feelings somehow get through to Zeke and his eyes turn back to red again. Zeke activates his boosters and saves Van, who's happy to have his best friend back. Episode 10. The Mountain of Dreams Irvine, Van, and Fiona (Moonbay stayed in a nearby town) are looking for Dr. D (or is it Dr. G? Maybe Dr. C?) to see if he knows anything about Zoid Eve, since he was a great scientist. They hear an explosion and go find the house it came from. When they enter the lab, the entire place is freezing and an old man, Dr. D, is frozen in a block of ice. They take him into his actual house and put him on his bed and cover him with a blanket. They talk about Zoid Eve and Fiona gives them salty coffee. In the morning, Irvine wakes up and sees that Dr. D is gone. He wakes up Van and they run outside to find that Irvine's Command Wolf is missing. Then the Wolf arrives with Dr. D piloting it and laughing for some reason (he's just really weird). Irvine tells at Dr. D when he gets out and orders the old man not to touch his Zoid again. Dr. D grins and starts touching the Wolf and Irvine is about to attack him when he tells Irvine that the main gun is off by three degrees. Van tries to talk to Dr. D, but he goes off and greets Fiona and Zeke. In the lab, Van tries to talk to him again and Dr D. asks if it was about Zoid Eve. Van wonders how he knew and Dr. D announces that he's hungry. Van asks again if he knows anything about Zoid Eve, and the old man says that he might remember something once he eats. Van and Fiona make him a meal (which includes salty coffee) and Van asks if he remembers anything about Zoid Eve. Dr. D tells him to fix the roof of the lab and Van yells at him. Dr. D says that yelling won't help him remember anything, so Van is forced to go fix the roof. Fiona has to sweep the floor. Irvine tests the gun on his Zoid and finds that Dr. D was right. He fixes the gun and Dr. D gets him to cut wood for him. Inside, Fiona and Dr. D talk about snow. Then, Dr. D sees something and gets Irvine and Van to get in their Zoids. Dr. D gets into the Command Wolf with Irvine. Irvine asks what this is all about and Dr. D tells him that the "enemy" is coming. The "enemy" turns out to be a guy riding a bicycle. Dr. D orders Irvine to shoot him, but Irvine refuses because the guy is unarmed. Dr. D pounds on Irvine's back, which causes Irvine's finger to slip and hit the trigger. The guy is knocked into the air by the explosion and Dr. D asks how Irvine could do such a thing. When the guy wakes up, he sees Zeke looking down at him and panics and runs off. Dr. D tells Van and Irvine that it's time to go. In town, Moonbay overhears the guy (who turns out to be Dr. D's grandson) talking about how Dr. D has two protectors now, a Command Wolf and a Shield Liger. Dr. D, driving a truck, leads Van and Irvine into a desert where a Republican supply hangar is. He stops and lets them go ahead. It turns out it was a sleeper trap, so Irvine and Van are forced to fight a bunch of sleeper Guysacks. Dr. D steals some parts from the hangar while Van and Irvine deal with the Guysacks. Van asks again about Zoid Eve, only to find that Dr. D has never heard of it. They did all of that stuff for the old man for nothing. Back at his lab, Dr. D uses the parts to finish his snow-making machine. His dream is to make it snow on this mountain again. They then hear a Zoid approaching and go out thinking it's Van and Irvine, but they find out it's a sleeper Guysack. The Guysack destroys the lab in one shot and is shot down by Moonbay, who got there just in time with Dr. D's grandson. Dr. D is devastated by the fact that his lab was destroyed. Later, Dr. D's grandson explains how Dr. D had been obsessed with making snow for years. It snowed on the mountain once when Dr. D was a kid and he's been determined to make it snow there again ever since. The next day, Van finds Dr. D packing to go live with his grandson. Van tells him not to give up and says that he will help him make a snow-making machine. Irvine arrives with some parts that they can use to build it. Dr. D regains his hope and they spend the day building it. They launch the rocket, but it doesn't work. Later, Van, Fiona, Moonbay, and Irvine are traveling down the mountain when it starts to snow. Irvine and Van have a snowball fight and Moonbay, Zeke, and Fiona find the rocket, which didn't go off. Fiona says that it really is a gift from the sky. Dr. D is overjoyed that it's snowing again and goes skiing. Episode 11. The Fog at Iselina Van and the others have to journey over the Iselina Mountains, which are known for treacherous fog. Van manages to get Irvine and Fiona lost in the fog, when he saw a flying papaya (because he was really hungry) and chased after it, so Irvine and Fiona went after him. Van managed to find his way back to the Gustav, but Irvine and Fiona got lost. Moonbay yells at Van, and then tells him about the monster of Mt. Iselina. It comes out when it's really foggy, like now. Then they see a shadow monster, but it turns out to be the shadow of a Godos. The shadow is reflected off of the fog. The pilot of the Godos, Rosa (Viola's little sister), takes Van and Moonbay to the hidden village on the mountain. Search parties are sent out to look for Irvine and Fiona. Meanwhile, Viola thinks about Rosso and is determined to fight Van. She and some other guy get into a Redler and Pteras and fly off to Mt. Iselina since they heard that Van was headed there. Viola knows about the hidden village that's not part of the Empire or Republic. Moonbay talks to the village elder while Van and Viola go explore around the village. The elder says that any friend of Rosa's is a friend of their's. Rosa can see into people's hearts to tell whether they're good or bad. Van tells Rosa about his adventures and she tells him about her sister, who left to join the Imperial army. Her sister said that she would fight to make sure that the world will be as peaceful as the mountain one day. Then Viola and the other guy show up and lead Van, in the Liger, into the fog. Van jumps up and takes out the Pteras. Then he follows Viola deeper into the fog. Viola uses the fog to create a lot of shadows of the Redler to confuse Van. She tricks him for a while, but then decides to use her tail blade. Rosa, in her Godos, shines a light down to where Van is that reflects off of the blade. Van sees where the real Redler is and fires missiles at it, taking Viola down. Viola climbs up the cliff to confront Van. He tries to make her promise to leave the village and never return, but she points a gun at him. Rosa arrives and sees Viola, her sister, and Van. She doesn't know what's going on and asks if Viola was one of the mercenaries Van told her about. Viola doesn't answer, so Van makes up a lie about how he is the real mercenary and Viola was trying to stop him. Moonbay arrives and plays along too (she was watching what was going on), and Viola plays along and orders him to leave so Van, Zeke, and Moonbay run off. Van thanks Moonbay, but gets punched because she was really worried about him. Viola is welcomed back into the village, but she decides to leave. Moonbay and Van get into the Gustav and find Irvine and Fiona. Later, Van and Fiona are sleeping and Moonbay tells Irvine that she's figured out what makes him hang around Van. Episode 12. The Black Organoid Marcus is told by Prozen that the route to a Republican fortress has been cleared by the Saber Fang. A cloaked boy and his black Organoid are standing in the desert. Meanwhile, Van and the others head to a town to fill up on supplies. When they get there, they notice that the soldiers are preparing for a battle. Later, Irvine and Moonbay tell Van that they think they should get going soon so they don't get caught up in a battle. Then they get surrounded by soldiers, but Van and Fiona manage to escape. A boy is resting on a haystack when he hears shouting and sees Van and Fiona running from soldiers. Van and Fiona hide in some crops and they think the soldiers have found them when someone comes and knocks out all the soldiers. Van and Fiona emerge from the crops to find the boy who was resting on the haystack standing among the knocked out soldiers. Some more soldiers are running towards them and the boy is ready to fight again, but Fiona drags him off with her and Van. The hurt soldiers tell the other soldiers that they were attacked by a black Zoid (Organoid). Moonbay and Irvine are called to a soldier's office and told a story about a ton of Republican sleeper Zoids being taken out by one Zoid and a black Organoid. The guy tells them that their letter from Hermann proves that they're on the same side. He then gets a phone call and is told that three kids have been spotted. The guy tells Moonbay and Irvine that Van and Fiona are traveling with the boy who has the black Organoid. Van and Fiona follow the boy to a spring and they drink some water. Van finds out that the boy's name is Raven, who then walks off. Van and Fiona follow him through the desert. Van tells Raven about Zeke and how easy it would be to rescue Irvine and Moonbay if he was there, and Raven says that that means Van is only strong if his Organoid helps him. Meanwhile, Godos units leave a Republican base and Irvine gets into his Command Wolf and runs off. Van, Fiona, and Raven climb up a rock formation where Van and Fiona spot Irvine. When Irvine gets there, he tells them that Raven is the one who's been destroying all the sleeper Zoids. Raven admits that he has and calls his black Organoid, Shadow. Raven jumps off the rock formation and onto the head of his Saber Fang to go fight the Godos units which have just arrived. Raven destroys the Godos units easily while Van, Fiona, and Irvine watch horrified. Moonbay arrives with the Shield Liger and Van gets in it while Zeke fuses with it. Raven is about to slash a Godos when Van shoots him. Raven and Van fight and Raven easily beats Van, without the help of Shadow. Irvine tries to help by shooting at Raven, but Raven blocks his shot with fire from his weapon. Then Raven gets a call from someone and leaves with Shadow. Van wants to fight Raven again, but Moonbay's just thankful that he let them live. Episode 13. The Battle of the Cronos Van and the others are warned that a battle will happen near where they are soon. Van won't leave though because he wants to stay to find and fight Raven again. Moonbay and Fiona try to convince him to leave, but Van is determined to stay and fight Raven, though he doesn't know what he will do when he finds him, just that he wants to fight him one more time. Moonbay asks Irvine for help, but he doesn't want to and leaves. Raven, meanwhile, destroys some more sleeper Zoids. He then finds Marcus in a town and refuses to listen to him. Marcus talks to Major Karl Shubaltz, who has just recieved his Iron Kong. They plot their attack on the Cronos Fortress, and Marcus tells Karl that his unit will attack the fortress while Karl's unit will watch. Karl thinks that they should wait and team up, but Marcus says that the orders have been changed (by Prozen). Irvine investigates the situation and tries to predict what will happen. He finds out that the Republicans have a bold plan. Fiona and Zeke try to get Van out of the Shield Liger by tempting him with chicken, and Van eventually gives in. That night, he eats a lot of chicken, but he still won't leave because he wants to fight Raven. Moonbay's plan is to feed him a lot of food until he goes to sleep and then tie him up. Later, Van is in the Liger again and he realizes that he needs to bring out the full potential of his Zoid if he wants to beat Raven. Irvine then arrives and tells Van that the Imperial army is going to attack the Cronos Fortress and Raven will probably be there too. Van is going to go into the town where the Imperial army is to try to find Raven. Moonbay asks Irvine to save Van if he gets into trouble. Meanwhile, Raven and Karl, who just arrived, talk about how Prozen wants the Republic to be destroyed, not a cease-fire. Raven says that he only answers to Prozen. Van hides in a barrel until he finds Raven, and then jumps on his Saber Fang and demands a rematch. Later, Van and Raven fight and Zeke fuses with the Liger. Marcus attacks the fortress while Karl watches. Raven is beating Van, but Van doesn't give up. The Saber Fang bites off the main gun of the Liger, which falls down to the ground. Irvine arrives to save Van, but he is easily beat by Raven. Van manages to get up and rams Raven with his shield on. Raven calls for Shadow, who fuses with the Saber Fang. With Shadow's help, Raven manages to break through the shield and really damage the Liger. Zeke is thrown out and lies on the ground, not moving. Raven runs off while Marcus' troops go closer to the fortress. Karl realizes that it's a trap just before the fortress explodes and wipes out a lot of Marcus' troops. Van tries to wake Zeke up.
