Episode 24. A Voice From Afar

Van's freaked out by the whirling pink light that's surrounding the Shield Liger and that Fiona and Zeke are inside it. Dr. D walks out of the light wearing a special suit, scaring Van and Rudolf. Dr. D says that Zeke may be trying to resurrect the Shield Liger, and that Fiona may be playing an important part. Van wants Dr. D to lend him the suit so he can save Fiona and Zeke, but Dr. D says that Van couldn't get to them even if he tried to. Van tries to get inside the light, but is thrown back. He tries again but gets the same results. Van becomes depressed and says that Zeke should have chosen him to bring back the Shield Liger. He feels betrayed, and runs off on a hover board, with Rudolf following him a little later. Irvine asks Dr. D if Fiona and Zeke are still alive, and Dr. D says he doesn't know.

Prozen's gang that was hired to kill Rudolf is confronted by Stinger, a cruel mercenary nick-named the "fisherman", who decides to help them out for a price. Meanwhile, Van finds some ruins similar to the ones he found Zeke and Fiona in and then thinks about them. Van feels more and more worthless. Rudolf finds him and talks about how Van promised to teach him how to pilot a Zoid and ride a hover board. Van says that he can't teach him anything and that he'll never pilot a Zoid again. Rudolf calls Van a weakling and says that he's not the Van he used to know and admire. Rudolf leaves and Van thinks some more, and then he hears Fiona's voice saying that she hates what he has become, and then it sound like she's in trouble. Van regains his confidence and leaves to go try to help Fiona.

Prozen's gang is watching Van and the others, and are about to carry out a plan. Two Dark Horns pretend to chase Stinger towards Moonbay, who gets in her Gustav and "saves" him. She develops a crush on him immediately, and invites him to dinner. Irvine finds Rudolf in the middle of the desert and brings him back to their camp. Irvine doesn't trust Stinger, and he's right not to. Stinger poisons their soup to paralize them, and then goes after Rudolf. Rudolf throws sand in Stinger's eyes and Irvine holds his legs, and Rudolf runs away, only to find himself cornered by two Dark Horns. Van, meanwhile, tries to head back to camp, but is chased by one of Prozen's gang piloting Stinger's Guysack. Rudolf calls out for Van, and Van is shot at by the Guysack.

Episode 25. The New Liger

Stinger has tied Irvine, Moonbay, and Rudolf to wooden posts. Irvine and Moonbay argue because Irvine blames Moonbay for getting them into this, and Stinger comes and taunts them. He doesn't let them have any water even though they are really thirsty. Rudolf insults Stinger, who threatens all of them. Meanwhile, Van is still being chased by the Guysack, but then he gets onto its head and tries to open the cockpit from the outside. The guy inside the Zoid laughs at him, but then Van kicks open a panel on the Guysack and hits a button to open the cockpit and steals the Zoid from him.

Stinger takes Rudolf's ring and looks at it. The leader of Prozen's gang demands him to give him the ring, and Stinger hands it over eventually, but takes it back. What Stinger really wants is Zeke. He takes Moonbay, Irvine, and Rudolf and makes them stand in front of the whirlwind of light, and tells them to make Zeke come out. They tell him that Zeke only listens to Van, but Stinger doesn't believe them and threatens them again.

One of the Dark Horns sees the red Guysack, and tries to contact it, but realizes that Van's the pilot. The Dark Horn attacks and Van burrows into the sand. He then comes up beneath the Dark Horn and knocks it over, then continues to head back to the others. Stinger is still trying to make Van's friends get Zeke out, but then Dr. D walks out of the light wearing his suit. Dr. D punches Stinger and the leader of Prozen's gang, then unties Moonbay, Irvine, and Rudolf. A Dark Horn attacks them, and Dr. D tells Rudolf to go to the Gustav, then picks up Irvine and Moonbay because they are still weak. Rudolf is about to be shot, but then Van appears in the red Guysack. He attacks the Dark Horn, but is thrown back and shot. Dr. D's suit gives out so he can't carry Irvine and Moonbay anymore.

Stinger appears in a red Saber Tiger, releases a paralizing gas, and destroys his own Guysack. Rudolf wants to help because he feels that all the trouble that's been happening is his fault, so he gets into Irvine's Command Wolf and shoots at Stinger, but is shot down. Rudolf thinks he can't do anything right, but then Van, riding on a hover board, tells him not to give up. Van uses a small gun to shoot at Stinger, but is caught in explosions from Stinger's missiles. Van is knocked into the pink light, and this time he's not thrown out, and he thinks he has failed everyone. Then he hears Fiona's voice telling him that he has helped everyone, and that they all love him for that even though they might not say so. Van realizes that she's right, and stops falling.

A Zoid cockpit forms around him, and Fiona tells him that his feelings have awakened her, Zeke, and the Liger, and that this Zoid is his. The whirlwind dies down, and the new Liger is visible. It's different from the Shield Liger, but Stinger thinks he can beat it. He attacks the new Liger, but can't even make a scratch on it. Van runs at him, activates his booster, and extends two new blades on the Liger's sides. He slices Stinger's Zoid in half, and Dr. D decides to call Van's new Zoid the Blade Liger. Van gets out of the Liger and demands Stinger to hand over the ring, but he tells Van that the leader of Prozen's gang has it, and he's running away in his Dark Horn. Van tries to stop him, but he falls over exhausted, and Moonbay punches out Stinger. When Van wakes up, he remembers that the ring was lost, but Rudolf says that it doesn't matter to him. Irvine and Moonbay show Van that Zeke and Fiona are fine, and Van tells them that they're his best friends.

Episode 26. Memories of Zi

Prozen talks to the leader of the gang he sent out to kill Rudolf. He now has the ring, and asks if Rudolf is dead. The guy lies and says he is, but Prozen can tell that Rudolf is alive. Meanwhile, Van and the others are eating dinner, and they talk for a while. Then everyone except for Fiona, Dr. D, and Zeke, are sleeping. Fiona and Dr. D talk, and Dr. D thinks that Fiona is an ancient Zoidian. Fiona thinks he's right, and they talk about how ancient Zoidians existed before humans came to planet Zi. Organoids and ancient Zoidians always did everything together, and when an ancient Zoidian went into a long, deep sleep, their memories were transferred to the Organoid that went to sleep with them. Fiona has started remembering some things ever since she fused with Zeke, but Van might have messed it up because he fused with Zeke first. They decide not to tell Van and the others.

Stinger wanders into a bar, and he's all beat up and tired. He gets a drink of milk, and two guys ask why he's beat up. Stinger tells them about Van and his Organoid, and the two guys pay him with gold and then go off to capture Zeke. Since Prozen now has the ring, he calls a meeting and tells a group of important Imperial officers that Rudolf is dead, and now he is the emperor. The officers don't like it, but Prozen sits in the throne and says that the late emperor said that if anything happened to Rudolf then he would be emperor. The officers can't argue with him, and Prozen leaves.

Raven stands on top of a cliff looking down at a Republican base, and Shadow wants him to destroy it. Raven becomes annoyed with Shadow and tells him that he'll do it when he feels like it. Then he gets into his Geno Saurer and starts destroying everything. The Republicans send out some Gordos units, but they don't even scratch Raven's Zoid. Raven flies around using his boosters and destroyes all the Gordos units, and then destroys the base with a charged particle beam. Some Republicans try to escape in Pteras units, but Raven lets Shadow destroy them. Then he and Shadow leave and some Imperial troops come, freeze the Zoid cores of the destroyed units, and load them into a truck.

Van and the others are driving along in the Gustav when the two guys who talked to Stinger attack in Hel Digunners. Moonbay turns around because they think they're after Rudolf, but the guys capture Zeke in a net and load him into one of their Hel Digunners. Van and Irvine get in their Zoids and attack, but the Hel Digunners are pretty fast and one of them manages to slice through the Command Wolf's hind legs. Then Fiona thinks about Zeke and asks him to escape, and Zeke hears her thoughts and breaks out of the net, shoots out of the Hel Digunner, and fuses with the Blade Liger. Van charges at the two Hel Digunners, but they shoot at him using their new strategy. Van activates the booster and dodges their fire. Then he extends his blades and slices through the two Zoids, taking them out of commission. Meanwhile, Prozen has some Zoid cores thrown into the big tank and says it's still not enough to awaken the thing inside, so he gives orders that Raven has to get some more Zoid cores.

Episode 27. The Saviour

Van and the others enter a restaurant and asked to use the phone to call the Imperial capital city Guygalos, but it's broken. Van tries to convince people that Rudolf is alive and standing right there, but they don't believe him and think it's a joke because Prozen told everyone that he's dead. Then they leave and make camp behind a wall. Irvine checks out the road-block in their way, and Van wants to go back and convince people that Rudolf is alive. Irvine says that it's a bad idea because if he does that Prozen will know where they are. They wonder where Dr. D is since they could use his help. Rudolf says that the only person he can trust is his Prime Minister. They decide to smuggle Rudolf across the road-block.

The owner of the restaurant is questioned about Rudolf being there, but she still thinks it's a joke, so the guys leave. At the road-block, Moonbay tries to get across with Fiona in the Gustav. She has the Blade Liger and the Command Wolf with her, and Van, Irvine, and Rudolf are walking over the mountain to get past the road-block. Moonbay is dressed in a wedding gown and Fiona pretends to be her sister. They say they are going to a wedding, and that they picked up some strange hitch-hikers a while ago and one of them claimed to be Rudolf. The guards ask where they are, and Moonday says they dropped them off a few kilometers back. The guards check her cargo and let her go on.

An officer talks to the guards at the road-block, and they figure out the Moonbay is helping Van and Rudolf. They figure that they are crossing the mountain, so they send search parties and order Redlers to help them. Meanwhile, Van, Rudolf, and Irvine are traveling across the mountain, and Rudolf slips and almost falls off a cliff, but Van saves him. Then Redlers drop three boxes onto the ground, and small things crawl out of them. Zeke senses something, and small Molga-like machines crawl out of the forest towards them. Irvine shoots at them with a gun and they run, but they come to the edge of a cliff and can't go any further. Zeke attacks them, but they cover him with a sticky string-like substance and they are all captured by Imperial troops. Meanwhile, Moonbay and Fiona get stuck in the desert.

Van, Irvine, and Rudolf are being held in a cage and some guards take pictures of them. A guard looks at the pictures and recognizes Van, then the pictures get sent to Prozen. A while later someone knocks out the guards in front of the cage, and it turns out to be the Imperial guy that Van helped escape from New Helic City. Van gets him to take them to Zeke, and they rescue him. By then the Imperial troops have realized that they've escaped, and Van and the others run out of there. The Imperial guy leads them to safety, and they get away. Then he runs back into the forest, jumps off a waterfall, and escapes. He doesn't want to fight anymore. Van and the others get to the rendezvous point but Moonbay isn't there.

Then Van and the others spot Rev Raptors coming towards them and hide. Zeke sees Moonbay and flies Van to the Blade Liger and fuses with it. The Blade Liger slices up all the Rev Raptors quickly. Afterwards, Van, Irvine, and Rudolf think about the Imperial guy who saved them.

Episode 28. Run, Wolf!

Van, Fiona, and Rudolf, who is dressed like a girl, are walking in a town. They run into a kid who has stolen some fruit, and Van helps him and pays for it so the guy won't throw the kid into jail. Meanwhile, Moonbay and Irvine are mistaken for bandits and shot at. Irvine gets hit in his leg, and they run into a church to hide. There, a lady points a gun at them and says they stole vaccine that they need for sick children. The Father comes, with Van, Rudolf, and Fiona, and they sort things out. Then Van and the others see some sick children in the church. The lady says that bandits stole the vaccine they need, and Irvine has a flashback of when his sister died from the very same disease. Irvine takes Van and they go to get the vaccine back.

The Blade Liger and the Command Wolf walk across the desert, and Van wants to know why Irvine is helping the children for no money. Irvine tells him about his sister dying, and then tries to make it seem like he was just making it up. They then find the base of the bandits. Irvine will get the vaccine while Van will keep them distacted. Irvine gets into position and Van attacks. Rev Raptors come out to defend the base and Irvine lowers himself down on a rope to get the vaccine. Van doesn't try very to fight well because he needs to give Irvine some time. Irvine gets into the base and breaks open some crates, and finds the vaccine. By then Van has taken out enough Rev Raptors to get the bandits to call for help. They send out Red Horns, but Van still beats them. Then they retreat, and one guy wonders if the Blade Liger was just a decoy. Then he spots Irvine, who is going back up the rope to his Zoid while holding the vaccine.

The Blade Liger rushes into the base, and some Red Horns shoot into the tunnel it's in to try to trap it under rocks. The Blade Liger avoids being crushed by using its booster, and then Van sees that one of the Red Horns has shot a missile at Irvine. He tells Zeke to jump, and the Blade Liger leaps up and catches the missile in its mouth before Irvine is hurt. The Red Horn shoots more missiles at the Liger, but they're blocked by the Liger's shield. Then Van tells Irvine to get the vaccine to the children and he attacks the bandits again. Irvine gets into his Zoid and runs off. He is attacked by a Rev Raptor that slices the Command Wolf's front legs, and Irvine shoots it.

The Command Wolf can't walk any more, so Irvine tries to get to the church on foot, but his leg gives out. Then Van shows up and helps Irvine get into the Blade Liger, and they run the vaccine to the children just in time. Later, they all say goodbye and Van remarks about how nice Irvine was. Irvine then tries to convince Van that he isn't nice by saying that he still wants Zeke. Meanwhile, Raven is chased by some Gordos units. He leads them into a canyon, and then destroys them with a charged particle beam.

Episode 29. Heroes of the Sky

Dr. D and some Republican officers are waiting for two people to arrive. They see a truck in the distance, and wait for it to arrive. They then let the two people, a man and a woman, get into two Storm Sworders. The Storm Sworders are launched into the sky, and then they fly off.

Meanwhile, Van and the others are traveling towards Guygalos City. Van and Irvine have a fight about which route to take, which ends up with Irvine strangling Van. After a long discussion, they decide to split up, with Irvine, Moonbay, and Rudolf taking the long but safe route, and Van, Fiona, and Zeke taking the shorter route that has one Imperial base along the way. They split up, and shortly after that, it turns out that Rudolf snuck into the Blade Liger so he could go with Van.

At the Imperial base along Van's path, Major Karl Shubaltz is training with three black Redlers. He does some impressive maneuvering and shooting in his modified Saber Fang. Later, he and some other Imperial officer are talking about Prozen and what they think about the Empire. Then they go into the base, where they detect Van's Blade Liger running along in the distance. Karl recognizes Zeke from when Van, in the Shield Liger, and the Organoid ran past him in a battle. Black Redlers are sent out to attack Van, and Fiona manages to contact the base. Rudolf talks to them, and Karl, being the only smart person in the ENTIRE Imperial army, recognizes that Rudolf is not a fake. Rudolf remembers Karl, and they start talking, but the rest of the Imperial officers still think he's a fake. They cut off the transmission and sieze Karl to restrain him.

Meanwhile, Irvine and Moonbay wonder if Van and the others are alright, and Raven destroys some more Zoids and moves deeper into Republican territory. Shadow sees something in the sky, which turns out to be the two Storm Sworders from before. The two people, which are really Rosso and Viola, get a transmission from Dr. D and the Republican officers telling them to come back, but they turn off their radios and basically steal the two Zoids. They then fly off at top speed to find Rudolf.

Van's trying the best he can to fight the black Redlers, but he's not doing to well. Fiona tells him that they sould seek cover in the forest, so Van heads for it. Zeke gets hit while trying to follow, and Van stops to go back for him. Then three Redlers are about to attack him head-on, but another one tries to attack Van from behind. When it's about to hit him, it gets shot down by none other than the two Storm Sworders.

The two pilots introduce themselves as the heroes of the sky, and then proceed to tear up all the Redlers. Van runs away, followed by the two Storm Sworders, who contact Van and ask him if Rudolf is okay. Van and the others don't recognize the two pilots, even though it's obvious who they are. The Imperial officers at the base want to go after Van, but Karl breaks away and hits the self-destruct button for the base, letting Van get away. Van then meets up with Irvine and Moonbay, and Irvine says that he was right and Van was wrong because Van was attacked on the route he took, so now they have to go where Irvine thinks they should. Van doesn't agree so Irvine starts to strangle him again.

Episode 30. Moonbay's Waltz

A man is watching two birds, but he is interrupted by gunshots. Van and the others are being chased by a Red Horn and some Rev Raptors. The man sees the Gustav and thinks it looks familiar. Moonbay is trying to sing, but her Gustav keeps getting hit and Rudolf and Fiona scream a lot. Then she sees something which is a relief to her. The man is standing in front of the Imperial troops. He tells them not to trespass and they leave after a while. Van and the others come out of some bushes. Moonbay seems to know who the guy is, and Fiona and Rudolf wonder how he can make his teeth sparkle. Later on, it's explained how the guy, McMann, has a lot of influence in the Empire because he trades with them a lot. If they bug him, then he'll start trading with the Republic and the Empire will have less supplies.

Rudolf is disgusted with Fiona because she pours a ton of salt into her drink. Moonbay and McMann know each other because they were planning on getting married but Moonbay thought it wouldn't work out. Later, Van wonders about Moonbay and McMann's relationship and Moonbay thinks for a while. While that's going on, the Imperial troops decide to search McMann's place because they think that he's hiding Van and the others.

McMann uses a map to show Van, Irvine, Fiona, and Rudolf the best route to Guygalos. He knows who Rudolf is. Moonbay sees a jeep drive by, but doesn't worry about it. The Imperial troops get there and McMann confronts them. He manages to drive them off for now. Moonbay is upset because he could have gotten hurt. Later, Van and Irvine talk about what Moonbay and McMann. Moonbay decides to leave tonight and McMann talks to her about why she left a long time ago. She says she did it because they are so different. He thanks her for telling hem that, and gives her a red dress and asks her to dance with him. She does, and Van decides to leave without Moonbay because she's happy with McMann. Van tells McMann that they're leaving without Moonbay since she's so happy here. He tells McMann this.

Van, Irvine, Fiona, and Rudolf are about to leave when Moonbay gets there saying that she's going with them. McMann told her about Van's plan. Then, the Imperial troops arrive. They want Van and the others, but McMann pulls out a remote control and turns on some music, saying that it's time to dance. Some parts of the land rise up, spinning around, revealing some Dark Horns. Then McMann pushes another button and they start firing at the Imperial troops. Redlers then appear and attack the Blade Liger, Command Wolf, and the Dark Horns. But then the Storm Sworders appear, again just at the right moment, and slice up all the Redlers. They fly off, and Van slices up the remaining Rev Raptors and the Red Horn. Later, Moonbay and McMann say their goodbyes and Moonbay admits she loves him. On the road, Moonbay tells everyone that she dumped him because of his music. They all get frustrated at her, but she doesn't care. She's happy living life on the road. Meanwhile, Prozen stares down into the huge tank and laughs evilly.
