Episode 31. The Three Guards

Three Saber Tigers, two silver and one gold, look down at a burning city. The pilots comment about how much they hate Imperial troops that do things like that. They decide to get revenge for the city. The three Saber Tigers run off and find the troops that burned down the city. They attack using flight packs and destroy all the Zoids.

Van and the others are talking about which way to go. They are now traveling through the Valley of Heroes, the same valley traveled by the greatest Zoid warriors of the past. Long ago, the best Zoid warriors would compete in a Zoid competition in this valley, and Van thinks it sounds like fun. He really wants to compete in a competition like that. Afterwards, Van gets in trouble when he accidentally gets stuck on a tree on a cliff, and the others have to get him down. Van falls before they can help though, and Zeke tries to catch him, but misses. Rudolf says that the City of Wind in close, and they could stop there to rest.

Van and the others finally get to the City of Wind, only to find that it has been burned down. Rudolf thinks that everything is his fault again, but Van says that this only proves that he has to get to Guylos so that he can protect people like the ones here. This cheers Rudolf up, and they continue. Meanwhile, Prozen gives orders to the three Saber Fang pilots, the three guards, to kill the Rudolf imposter. They accept the mission because they are very loyal to the Empire. The troops that gave the three guards Prozen's orders decide to attack Van and the others later even though the three guards told them to stay out of the battle. The three guards wonder if Rudolf is still alive or not, and then they find Van and the others, who are traveling along. They challenge them to a Zoid competition, which Van accepts.

Van and Irvine meet the three guards in the Zoid competition ground in the Valley of Heroes, and Rudolf, Fiona, and Moonbay go to watch. They will battle one on one. Irvine goes first and fights a silver Saber Tiger, but he loses when the Tiger bites his leg off. However, Irvine managed to get enough good hits in to take out the Saber Tiger too. Van then fights the other silver Saber Tiger with the help of Zeke. He manages to beat the Tiger with his blades, but his booster and leg were hit. Then the gold Saber Tiger fights Van, but their fight is interrupted by Imperial Redlers. It's the troops that decided to interfere with the battle. The gold Saber Tiger shoots them all down even though they're on the same side because he told them not to come and he wants to fight alone. Then, he and Van continue the battle.

All the people from the City of Wind have come to watch the battle. The Tiger manages to knock Van down and is about to finish him off when he hears Rudolf calling out Van's name. He gets distacted when he realizes that Rudolf is alive, and Van gets up and takes him out. Then they talk and Van wants to fight them again sometime because he thought it was really fun.

Episode 32. The Doom Machine

Van and the others are almost at Guygalos, but then they run into a group of Imperial Zoids. Van gets out of the Gustav to fight them, but he is told to stop. Rudolf's trusted friend Prime Minister Homaleff. He is very happy to see that Rudolf is alive, and takes him to his palace. Lieutenant Hardin, one of Prozen's officers, was spying on them, and she reports their position. Meanwhile, Raven is talking with Prozen, who tells him to come back to Guygalos. Raven doesn't want to, but Prozen says Van is still alive. Raven has a fit and heads back to Guygalos.

Minister Homaleff reviews a plan to expose Prozen and they all agree to it. Fiona is lost in thought, and Van wants to find Zoid Eve. Homaleff tells Van and the others about Prozen's recent interest in ruins and that he built a scientific structure over one that was close to Guygalos. Van wants to go there, but Rudolf tells him to wait until he becomes Emperor so he can help. Meanwhile, Raven is still having a fit about Van being alive and is madder than ever.

At night, Van sneaks away and Irvine knows he's gone but doesn't try to stop him. He gets Zeke and Fiona shows up to go with him. They all leave in the Blade Liger and head to Prozen's ruins. The moons are turning red, and Raven is still on his journey. When Van and Fiona get to Prozen's ruins, Fiona is freaked out and wants to leave. She says that Zoid Eve is not here. Then Prozen appears and asks Van to join up with him. He makes this huge speech about how all people cause suffering to others and how he only wants peace. He says that Van and he are alike, but then Fiona gets out of the Liger and tells Van that he and Prozen are different. She has remembered some more of her past and her real name, Alisi Lynnett. She tells Prozen that he shouldn't revive the Death Saurer because it will destroy everything.

Then alarms sound and Prozen is told of something waking up. He realizes that Fiona is an Ancient Zoidian and the Death Saurer is waking up because it senses her. He orders guards to sieze her and then he begins to take her deeper into the building. Rev Raptors attack and Zeke fuses with the Blade Liger. Meanwhile, a chamber floods as every lock is opened. Fiona manages to get away for a while but Prozen catches up with her. Then the Blade Liger bursts into the room and Fiona escapes with Van. Van runs away and slices through some Rev Raptors in the process.

Prozen escapes in a jeep just as the building blows up. The Death Saurer emerges and starts stomping around. Van uses his booster to get away, and the Death Saurer destroys a lot of Rev Raptors with a charged particle beam and then aims it up into the sky. Van figures that a Zoid like that will destroy the planet. Later, the Death Saurer has been moved to a different base and Raven talks to Prozen. He missed Van here but he enjoys the hunt. At the palace Rudolf is staying in, Homaleff says that they will have to rely on the Republicans for help. Then a bunch of Rev Raptors appear and threaten them. Moonbay contacts Van asking for help. Van turns around but is stopped by Raven, who wants to fight.

Episode 33. The Battle for Survival

Irvine, Moonbay, Rudolf, and some others defend Homaleff's mansion from the Rev Raptors. Prozen doesn't want Rudolf to get to the ceremony so he can become the emperor. Meanwhile, Raven and Van fight, and Raven is beating Van badly. He throws Van around with his claws, and shoots at him with his guns. Van charges at Raven a few times with his blades, but each time Raven uses his boosters to move a little to the side and catches Van's blade in the Geno Saurer's claw, then throws Van into the air. When Van gets knocked down, he decides to try one of Irvine's moves and jumps over the Geno Saurer to run away, but he runs into an ambush of Red Horns. Raven is not happy because he doesn't want help. He fires a charged particle beam and destroys the Red Horns, knocking rocks into Van's path. Van is forced to fight Raven now.

Prozen talks to some guys about the Rudolf imposter, then goes to ceremony. Irvine, Moonbay, Rudolf, and Homaleff decide that the only way to get to the ceremony in time is to run right through the middle of the Rev Raptors. Rudolf and Homaleff get into the Royal Saber Fang, and then run through the Rev Raptor troops. Rudolf pilots the Royal Saber Fang and does really well. Meanwhile, Raven and Van battle some more, and Van gets really damaged. The Blade Liger collapses and opens its exhaust vents. Van thinks that there's no hope left, but then he hears the voices of all his friends telling him not to give up. Van regains his confidence and the Liger closes its vents and gets up.

Van charges and manages to slice off all of Raven's main weapons. Raven prepares to fire a charged particle beam at Van, and Van notices that the Saurer needs to lock onto the ground to prevent being knocked over by the recoil of the gun, so it can't turn when it fires. Raven fires the beam at Van, and Van runs to the side to avoid and to attack. Raven forces the Geno Saurer to turn to aim at him, but Van manages to get away.

Raven shoots his claw at Van and grabs him to hold him in place, then drags Van closer. He gets ready to fire another charged particle beam, even though his Zoid will get damaged too because they're so close. Van doesn't know what to do, and Fiona and Zeke merge with the Liger. Fiona's spirit tells Van not to give up, and Van regains his confidence. The Liger is healed, and then Raven fires the charged particle beam. Van uses the power of his blades to slice through the beam and cut into the Saurer's head. The Saurer explodes and Shadow saves Raven. Fiona tells Van that he won the battle because of the power inside him, not because of her and Zeke. Meanwhile, Irvine and others get to the ceremony, but group of Rev Raptors are in way. Just then, the two Storm Sworders arrive to help out.

Episode 34. The Capital Ablaze

Rudolf is flying with Viola in her Storm Sworder. He knows that the two pilots are Rosso and Viola, and he wants to thank them. Then some Imperial Redlers come and the two Storm Sworders fight them and win. Meanwhile, Prozen is at the ceramony and he tries to convince all the people that he's right. Then he shows them the Death Saurer, and everyone panics. Prozen jumps up on the Death Saurer's shoulder, and then Rudolf and Viola get there and Rudolf tries to convince Prozen to stop, but he doesn't listen. The Republican troops get there, but the Gojulas unit was delayed. Dr. D, Irvine, and Moonbay have come with them, and some of their Shield Ligers get destroyed by the Death Saurer's charged particle beam. Karl Shubaltz then arrives with his troops (yay! he's alive!) and tries to stop Prozen.

Prozen is power crazy and too far gone to listen to anyone. The Death Saurer is going on a rampage and is destroying everything. Moonbay gets shot at, but Van jumps in front of her and uses his shield to protect her. Then he charges at the Death Saurer but gets knocked back by its tail. Prozen tells Van the story of how he killed Van's father, and Van becomes angry. Fiona tells him that he's the only one who can stop Prozen, and he must do it to save the planet. She also says the Prozen is being controlled by the Death Saurer.

Dr. D comes up with a plan to beat the Death Saurer. They need to attack its core, and he figures that it's in the lower part of the Saurer's body, where there is more armor. They will need a fast Zoid that can outmaneuver it and that has blades strong enough to cut into the armor. Van's Blade Liger is chosen to do the job. The Death Saurer can fire charged particle beams multiple times, change direction while firing, and doesn't need to lock onto the ground. It will be hard for Van to attack. Fiona says that if they can block the fan on the Saurer's back then it can't fire its charged particle beam.

Everyone helps out in the final attempt to stop the Death Saurer. Rudolf and the Republican troops provide support fire, Irvine and Hermann try to slow the Saurer down using Gojulas units, and Shubaltz punches the Saurer and lodges his Iron Kong's hand in some gears then jerks its arm away so that the fist is stuck there. The two Storm Sworders attack the Death Saurer's fan and Van charges. Prozen yells at the Saurer, and it gets its fan working again. It fires a charged particle beam at Van, who is rushing forward with his blades powered up. Van gets hit by the beam, but his blades neutralize the charged particles of the beam, so he cuts through it. The Blade Liger slices through the middle of the Death Saurer, and it blows up with Prozen screaming.

Later, Rudolf is made emperor, and he notices that Van isn't there. Van, Fiona, and Zeke have gone on their quest to find Zoid Eve again.
